Mineral Description

Bauxite Ore is the world’s primary source of aluminum, valued for its high aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃) content and low levels of reactive silica. Bauxite typically appears in red, brown or beige tones, formed through tropical weathering processes, and is essential for alumina refining, refractories, cement production and chemical applications.

Extraction and Processing

Bauxite is extracted from open-pit mines and processed through crushing, washing, drying and grading. Chemical analysis determines alumina, reactive silica, iron oxide and moisture levels.
